Frequently asked questions about careers at Tyre Hill House

  • All new staff will be expected to complete a six month probationary period

  • Family Support Workers are required to work 12.5 hours shifts including nights. Our Social Workers do not work shifts but will do occasional evening and weekend work.

  • We are looking for people with the right values, attitude and qualities. The only qualifications we require is an English GCSE or equivalent

  • No, Tyre Hill House is a private independent company

  • Unfortunately, due to our rural location staff working directly with families need to have a driving licence.

  • Tyre Hill House is a non-smoking site so you can only smoke/vape in designated areas outside.
