Tyre Hill House is developing a centre of excellence in residential family assessment, bringing together social work, clinical psychology and specialist practitioners within an integrated multidisciplinary team.
Our approach combines rigorous, evidence-informed assessment with skilled and purposeful support, giving families the best opportunity to achieve lasting change while keeping each child’s safety, lived experience and future at the centre.
We are looking for an accomplished social work leader to join us as Head of Practice and Assessment.
This is a senior and influential role with responsibility for leading the quality and direction of practice across the service, developing confident managers and practitioners, and ensuring consistently high standards of assessment and work with families. The postholder will also fulfil the statutory responsibilities of the centre’s Registered Manager.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team across social work, family support, specialist practice and clinical psychology, creating a reflective and ambitious culture where professional curiosity, evidence, purposeful intervention and constructive challenge are embedded in everyday practice.
We are looking for an experienced, professionally qualified social worker with strong leadership experience, excellent professional judgement and a thorough understanding of safeguarding, assessment and work with children and families. You will have the credibility to lead experienced professionals, provide oversight of complex assessments and help ensure our work is rigorous, balanced, child-centred and able to withstand professional and court scrutiny.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping a developing service: influencing its practice model, strengthening multidisciplinary working and helping establish Tyre Hill House as a centre of excellence in residential family assessment.
Permanent Contract; On-site
From £75,000 to £85,000 per annum + Private Medical Insurance, pension
