Tyre Hill House Rated Good by Ofsted
Tyre Hill House is pleased to announce that it has been rated Good across all areas following its first full Ofsted inspection, completed in December 2025.
The inspection was carried out under the Social Care Common Inspection Framework and assessed the service’s effectiveness in supporting children and parents, safeguarding practice, and leadership and management. Tyre Hill House achieved a Good rating in all three key judgement areas:
Overall experiences and progress of children and parents
How well children and parents are helped and protected
The effectiveness of leaders and managers
This outcome reflects the service’s commitment to delivering safe, balanced and evidence-led residential parenting assessments, grounded in professional curiosity, empathy and robust safeguarding practice.
Inspectors highlighted the quality of both the physical environment and the assessment practice at Tyre Hill House, describing a service that is welcoming, well-maintained and clearly focused on children’s welfare.
The report notes that:
“The centre is maintained to a consistently high standard, providing a safe, welcoming and homely environment for families.” Inspectors also recognised the quality of assessment work, commenting that: “Assessments are of good quality. Reports are detailed, provide clear analysis and support decision-making.”
The inspection further acknowledged the strength of professional relationships within the service, and the way assessments are underpinned by warmth, respect and a clear focus on children’s needs and safety.
“We are very pleased with this outcome, particularly as it reflects the values and standards we aim to uphold every day. A Good rating across all areas recognises the care, professionalism and thoughtful assessment practice shown by our team, and the importance we place on safeguarding, reflection and fairness for families and children alike. We see this inspection as an important milestone, and we remain committed to continuous learning and improvement as we build on this foundation.” - Luke Chapman, Responsible Individual at Tyre Hill House.
